The Diction for Singers platform provides an integrated system for vocal pedagogy using textbooks, videos, and interactive Listening Lab resources.
Our integrated multimedia diction platform supports professors in developing a syllabus covering a large amount of information in a short amount of class time. Students’ learning is enhanced through a clear progression of information supported by interactive practice tools – the Listening Labs.
In the International Phonetic Alphabet for Singers textbook, students learn to articulate, read, and write the phonemes and allophones of all relevant languages.
In the Diction for Singers textbook, students learn the pronunciation guidelines for when and how to use those phonemes and allophones, in each relevant language, in one volume, and one low price.
Practice, practice, practice! The online Listening Labs, featuring diction experts, allow students to listen, record, and play back sample words presented in the Diction for Singers textbook. Professors can listen to their students’ recordings and provide comment, further enhancing the student’s success. Note: Some professors implement Listening Labs use in their grading system or as an extra credit component.
